Vogue's Archive Puts Lee Krasner Back on the Page

In June of 1972, Vogue gave its pages to Lee Krasner in a profile written by Barbara Rose, and the magazine called her an American great right in the title. The archive has brought the piece back out, and that summer issue is worth a second look. The wire didn't say what Krasner wore, so we won't guess. What we can note is the year, the writer, the subject and the size of the compliment, and a fashion magazine putting the word "great" in a headline is about as dressed-up as a compliment gets.
