The Penny in the Slot Now Carries Karl Lagerfeld's Mark

The Karl Lagerfeld label has teamed with G.H. Bass on a footwear collection of seven designs, made for both men and women. At its center is the penny loafer, now with a coin struck especially for the house to sit in that famous slot across the vamp. It's a small change in scale, but the penny is the one detail everyone looks at on this shoe, and this time it carries a signature. From a Palm Beach lunch to a Hamptons weekend, it's a nice reminder that a well-made shoe can still keep its owner's change.
