Two Ways to Take a Cruisers 45: The VTR Line Grows at Forty-Five Feet
Cruisers Yachts has shown a pair of new boats at forty-five feet, the 45 VTR and the 45 VTR EC. Both are additions to the builder's VTR series rather than replacements for anything already in it. The design brief is generous width across the hull, which is where the extra room aboard comes from. Underneath, the boats run on a hull that blends a stepped bottom with a more conventional form. For an owner weighing the two, the choice is between the open layout of the 45 VTR and the enclosed-cabin arrangement the EC designation signals. Pricing and the naval architect were not part of the preview.
