Seven Nights Is the Buy-In: A 212-Foot Schooner Is Taking Guests on a Five-Year Run
The classic schooner Atlantic, all 212 feet of her, is leaving the dock for a voyage planned to last five years, and she is taking paying guests along. The shortest stay a guest can book is a week. That is the entire proposition, and it needs no dressing up. Along our stretch of coast, a boat of that length usually sits as a monument to someone's patience with a shipyard, and the sails, if there are any, are decorative. Here is one built to the old pattern that intends to do the thing schooners were built for, and over a span long enough to outlast most Naples club memberships. Miami will ask whether there is a DJ. Palm Beach will ask who else is aboard. Naples will quietly check the calendar for a clear seven nights.
