Messi and Alcaraz Now Share a Shipyard

The world's most famous soccer player has taken delivery of an 88-foot Sunreef catamaran, the builder's Ultima 88. He will not have the model to himself for long. Carlos Alcaraz has ordered the same boat and is waiting on his own hull. Eighty-eight feet on two hulls is a lot of deck, the kind of platform that reads less like a sailboat and more like a floating terrace, which is exactly the sort of thing that looks at home off Fisher Island, draws a polite glance at the Palm Beach docks, and would be the biggest thing in the harbor at Naples. There is something pleasing about two athletes at the top of entirely different sports arriving at the same answer to the same question of how to spend a day off the water.
