A Spear of Asparagus on the Groom's Lapel: Tess and Connor Wed in the Pacific Northwest
A single stalk of asparagus was tucked among the white flowers on the groom's lapel. Florist Kylie Hale placed it there, and it was easy to miss among the petals. Tess and Connor were married in the Pacific Northwest, at a small, close gathering held outdoors in a garden. The day included a paebaek, the Korean wedding ceremony. Dinner was planned for guests who care seriously about food. Looking back, the vegetable on Connor's jacket was an early hint of how much of the day would be about the table.
